About
Carter Hintz resides in the Kansas City Metro and teaches choir at Grain Valley High School. He directs the school’s Concert Choir, Treble Choir, Tenor Bass Choir, and two competitive show choirs. Ensembles under his tutelage have earned Exemplary ratings at contests and have frequently placed in Finals at Missouri show choir competitions.
Carter holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Central Missouri, where he studied with Adam Zrust, Jackson Thomas, and Stella Roden. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Outstanding Vocal Music Education and Outstanding Vocal Student Awards. He is earning his Master of Music Education from Florida State University while studying with Kevin Fenton. Carter has taught voice, piano, and guitar lessons for the past few years and continues to sing as a Baritone for KC VITAS, a new music chamber choir.
Carter spends much of his free time working on choral compositions and always looks for new projects. You can find his published compositions on Endeavor Music Publishing.
